The biggest names in stand-up bring a huge night of laughs to London’s original comedy home.
September 20 features a headline set by STEWART LEE – the stand-up legend, BAFTA winner, British Comedy Award winner and star of BBC2’s Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle. In short, Stewart is ‘the world’s best living stand-up comedian’ (The Times).
Joining him are: SIMON MUNNERY – the multi award-winning comedy legend with numerous television and radio projects to his name. Simon’s ‘a true one-off, part-entertainer, part-outsider artist’ (Evening Standard). And, JOSIE LONG – the multi award-winning, comedic voice of a generation, who returned to this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe with one of the best-reviewed shows.
Also appearing are: ROSIE JONES – the fast rising stand-up newcomer, as seen on C4’s The Last Leg, 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Dave’s Hypothetical – and ROSE MATAFEO – the 2018 Edinburgh Comedy Award winner, soon to be seen on Dave’s Taskmaster.
Hosting September’s Live at the Empire is ANDREW MAXWELL, the two-time Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, as seen on BBC1’s Live at the Apollo and regularly heard across BBC Radio 4 with several of his own series. With even more starry names, still to be announced!
