Fringe 14 – Feral

By Tortoise in a Nutshell with Cumbernauld Theatre

2013 FRINGE FIRST AWARD – WINNER | 2013 TOTAL THEATRE AWARD – NOMINEE | 2013, 2014 EDINBURGH FRINGE SELL-OUT

Combining puppetry, immersive soundscapes and multimedia technology, visual theatre company Tortoise in a Nutshell, build an entire world in front of the audience’s eyes. Ten years after the event, Joe looks back at his childhood home and traces its journey from idyllic seaside town to community gripped by anarchy. With life changed forever, Joe recounts and attempts to process how he lost his perfect town, and his sister, and in turn addresses what community means.

Following its award-winning run in 2013, Feral returns to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2014 as part of the Made In Scotland showcase. And Feral tours England and Wales this Autumn with support from Arts Council England.
