Street Team members required for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017

Show And Tell are a multi award-winning live production company of stand-up comedy and theatre. We work with a wide range of leading UK artists and comedians – including Josie Long, Joseph Morpurgo, Simon Munnery, Kieran Hurley, Mae Martin and many more – and regularly present shows in London’s West End, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; on tour across the UK, in New York and internationally.

We are seeking talented and motivated individuals to join our promotional street team at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This individual will be part of a small, dedicated street team, which will play a pivotal role in the promotion of our shows across the festival.

Candidates must have previous experience in arts/street team promotion. A familiarity with our acts and knowledge of the fringe is highly preferable. The position is suited to someone who already has plans to be at the Fringe, working or performing, or is Edinburgh-based.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate good communication skills, be outgoing, willing to strike up a conversation with fringe goers and talk passionately about the shows they are promoting.

Job Specifications

Working from August 2nd – 28th 2017.

Between 3 – 5 hours per day, roughly between 4 and 9pm.

£8.80 per hour. Paid weekly.

Venue passes to five of the major Fringe venues (so you can see shows for free on your time off)

We are seeking talented, organized and motivated individual to manage our promotional street team at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This individual will both lead and be a part of a small, dedicated street team, which will play a pivotal role in the promotion of our shows across the festival.

This year’s line-up of shows include comedians Josie Long, Joseph Morpurgo, Simon Munnery, Dan Antopolski, Mae Martin and theatre-makers Sh!t Theatre and Kieran Hurley.

Candidates must have previous experience in arts/street team promotion – ideally at the Edinburgh Fringe. A familiarity with our acts and knowledge of the fringe is highly preferable. A history of working within the arts industry at some level is also highly preferable, and a desire to progress their career within the industry with this position too.

The ideal candidate will be able to attend an interview in London in May or July.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate good communication and team-member skills, be willing to be working on their feet in all weathers, be able to manage employees and be passionate about the shows they are promoting.

Job Specifications

Working from July 31st to August 28th 2017 (1-2 days off within this period)

Paid £750.00

Accommodation is provided (one double bedroom in a 3-bed property)

Travel costs to/from Edinburgh is provided (relocating to Edinburgh on July 30th)

Stage Manager – freelance (London)

We are looking for organised, motivated and experienced freelance stage managers to oversee our live comedy shows, predominantly in London but occasionally in other parts of the UK. These are one-night engagements, 2-3 times throughout each month and will be paid on an hourly rate. Responsibilities will include: face-to-face liaison with venue technical teams, box office and security staff plus stage managing to ensure a smooth experience for the performers, venue and audience.

Job Specifications

Dates: Immediate start and ongoing depending on availability and ability

Pay: Competitive day/half-day rates plus per Diems based on location

Requirements: Previous experience of stage management and/or the running of live comedy nights is essential.
