Street Team members required for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018

Show And Tell are a multi award-winning live production company of stand-up comedy and theatre. We work with a wide range of leading UK artists and comedians – including Josie Long, Joseph Morpurgo, Simon Munnery, Kieran Hurley, Mae Martin and many more – and regularly present shows in London’s West End, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, on tour across the UK, in New York and internationally.

We are seeking talented and motivated individuals to join our promotional street team at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This individual will be part of a small, dedicated street team, which will play a pivotal role in the promotion of our shows across the festival.

Candidates must have previous experience in arts/street team promotion. A familiarity with our acts and knowledge of the fringe is highly preferable. The position is suited to someone who already has plans to be at the Fringe, working or performing, or is Edinburgh-based.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate good communication skills, be outgoing, willing to strike up a conversation with fringe goers and talk passionately about the shows they are promoting, details of all our Edinburgh Fringe 2018 shows can be found here.

Job Specifications
Working from August 1st – 27th 2018, with one day off.
Between 4-5 hours per day, usually between the hours of 1pm and 9pm.
Guaranteed £1000 fee, any additional hours required beyond this will be agreed in advanced and paid at an hourly rate.

Venue passes to two major Fringe venues (so you can see shows for free on your time off)

Technical Operator – Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018

We are looking for show technicians to operate two of our comedy shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018. The role requires the handling of the get in and get out each day, as well as operating AV, SX and LX during the show.

Job Specifications
– Previous technical operating experience is essential.
– Must be competent on digital Lighting desks.
– Experience of Keynote and Power Point is required.
– SX experience including operating Qlab, setting up microphones and setting sound levels is essential.
– The successful candidate must work well under pressure and be a conscientious worker.

Working from August 1st – 27th 2018.

We have two shows requiring operators, one at 4.45pm at the Pleasance Courtyard (1st – 27th) and one at 8.20pm at the Pleasance Dome (1st -12th). Both are Stand-up comedians.

Fee: £20 per show (plus a fee for the technical rehearsal).

Freelance Data Collector

We are seeking talented and motivated individuals to collect personal data from audiences at our London shows. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate good communication skills, be outgoing, willing to strike up a conversation with audiences and talk passionately about our brand to convince people to sign up to the mailing list.

Job Specifications

Dates: Maximum two evenings per month, immediate start and ongoing.

Pay: £20 per evening plus free entry to shows

Stage Manager – freelance (London)

We are looking for organised, motivated and experienced freelance stage managers to oversee our live comedy shows, predominantly in London but occasionally in other parts of the UK. These are one-night engagements, 2-3 times throughout each month and will be paid on an hourly rate. Responsibilities will include: face-to-face liaison with venue technical teams, box office and security staff plus stage managing to ensure a smooth experience for the performers, venue and audience.

Job Specifications

Dates: Immediate start and ongoing depending on availability and ability

Pay: Competitive day/half-day rates plus per Diems based on location

Requirements: Previous experience of stage management and/or the running of live comedy nights is essential.
